Establishing Faith Hope Love Youth Academy

 

Image descriptionMinister Huang Mingzheng built Faith Hope Love Youth Academy in Guangfu Township, Hualien County in order to take in marginal people.  It has been establish less than seven years, and most cases are successful.  Some even passed college exams.  Some misbehaved children or children lacking of family love can have opportunities to study and repent.  The biggest dream of Minister Huang is to help drop-out students become college students, college students become studying-abroad students.  Then, those who have studied overseas can come back and teach students.  Keeping this circle can make drop-out students helpful people in the society. 

Teachers in the Academy are willing to live with them, share their happiness and all emotions in life and have the same belief in Jesus Christ.  They also teach the children skills for living, right philosophy in life to correct their wrong doings.  Most specially, they teach the students to ride unicycles.  Minister Huang said, “Criminology research in Japan found that children who could ride unicycles would not be bad.”  Riding unicycles is all about balance, especially when our brain and cerebellum are working together, people can become smarter and smarter without wrong thoughts and behaviors.  In order to give them opportunities to challenge themselves, they even fulfilled the goal of riding around the island for 1,000 kilometers.  By this method, their persistent attribute can be developed, and they are asked to be braver while encountering frustration and hold on to the end thus they can have chances to succeed.  No longer than seven years of establishment, Minister Huang has seen that the children are changing little by little and they have their goals in life.  Plus the devotion and love of the teachers to be with them 24 hours a day, they feel the warmth and encouragement from a family.  It really is not easy.  Minister Huang wishes to establish more and bigger academies in every part of Taiwan to save more people.  His biggest dream is to help drop-out students become college students, college students become studying-abroad students.  Then, those who have studied overseas can come back and teach students.  The seeds of our country need cultivation to be indomitable people.  Henry Chang-Yu Lee also graduated from Police University.  From an unknown police officer to the most famous detective in the world, he is a person who really does his work diligently, not just a celebrity.  We can have such a great detective from Police University.  How great is it.  Therefore, Minister Huang thinks that doing everything with best efforts leads to success.
