When deciding our interview questions, the teachers told us that we had to prepare for interviewing Minister Huang.  The teachers only told us that he was the minister of Youth Academy and also the founder.  After our draft was done, the teachers contacted Minister Huang and scheduled a date for the interview.

At the first interview, Minister Huang told us a lot about his personal stories, including the schools he studied at, the reasons why he went to Police School and even why he chose Christianity as his religion.

Minister Huang said that his family was poor when he was young.  Therefore, he could only choose provided school to study.  After he graduated from Police School, he served in Taipei for four years.  Afterwards, he went to America to study Criminal Sanction.  After he graduated, he studied Theology.  Minister Huang lived in the US for 17 years and then came back to Taiwan.  Since he came back, he has worked in prisons as counselors to help prisoners repent.

Minister Huang said that after he came back, he found that the prisoners were increasing in number but decreasing in age.  He felt that those children should be given opportunities to repent, avoiding them to become frequent prisoners.  Hence, Youth Academy was established to take in those who suffer domestic violence or delinquent juveniles.  They wished these children could change their bad habits, have a loving and warm home, and even a beautiful life.  Minister Huang is really a compassionate man who really contributes a lot, and I learned how to treat others with love.  I was moved deeply by his spirit of charity.
