　　This is the most important location in the prison, and is the nexus of supervision. Sitting at the central platform allows one to see all of Chih, Jen, and Yong cell blocks, from the entrance to the exit; only one person is required to have visual coverage of the entire male section of the prison. The central platform is also the central location for alarms – all alarms are clustered on the front and upper side of the central platform. All alarm sounds can be heard here, and the alarms allow the person at the central platform can contact the other departments for emergency measures.
