The Start of a Dream

Once, uncountable iridescent butterflies unfold their wings flying in the sky of Formosa,
where the so-called ˇ§Kingdom of Butterfliesˇ¨ was.
Due to excessively catch the little pretty elves and deteriorate natural environments, colorful elves no longer fly gregariously although the earth is still moving.
And, the dance of butterflies becomes a legend only, an unreachable dreamˇKˇK

Remember that we had team report on insects in our natural science class. Our team decided to report something about butterflies. Each of our team members was busy with data collection. One day one of our team members, Jin-Sheng accidently found ˇ§Moxa Educational Foundation was issuing a news that it would donate funds, butterfly larvae, herbaceous and nectariferous plants and support to build campus butterfly net-covered garden for students to raise and observe butterflies and larvae inside the garden. And, All necessary expenditure would be offered. Then, we started our treasure-seeking plan. Our homeroom teacher said that it was hard for us to meet the requirements of the foundation.
A couple of months passed. One day our teacher gathered us and said ˇ§Letˇ¦s go to hunt for that treasure.ˇ¨? In a- few-minutes silence we became surprisingly exalted.

In the recent two years our footprints have been impressed on every inch of our campus net-covered garden. Additionally, we often went to ˇ§Back Mountainˇ¨, a mountain surrounded behind our school, to trace and observe butterfly larvae, butterflies and plants. Now we are experts of raising larvae and butterflies. We are also good at growing herbaceous and nectariferous plants. We can do inserted planting, too. Our campus now has a lot of butterflies and larvae, therefore, we begin to worry about if we can provide them with enough plants. It is a fruitful journey for this treasure-seeking plan.

Taiwan was once abundant with beautiful butterflies. The development of industries as well assome man-made damages onto the natural habitats changes the ecology of Taiwan, and furthermore threatens the survival of butterflies. ?In order to share the experience and result we obtain from our butterfly research program, we unanimously agree to attend the Global School CyberFair 2008 with our teacherˇ¦s encouragement. It is our turn now to portrait the treasure-seeking program report for you to hunt for.
