| Many classmates live in the communities close to Xianji Rock. They can often witness the interactions between community residents and Xianji Rock and experience the love for Xianji Rock from residents or tourists. Xianji Rock is our common neighbor and it provides us many functions. |

The biggest purpose Xianji Rock serves is to be a natural playground. At dawn, many residents walk on the tracks and climb up. It is an economic and natural exercise. There are some sports facilities, such as horizontal bars, swings and health walkways so that residents can walk and exercise here. |

A piece of lush green land is a rare treasure for any city. It provides fresh air and natural plants. It is a natural environment without pollutions. |
| There is a large variety of animals and plants. Birds and insects are just two examples. There is also an abundant variety of geological make-ups, which is a great outdoor classroom for schools nearby. Occasionally, community and private sector groups, such as Taiwan Nature Trail Society, Wenshan Community College , the Butterfly Conservation Society of Taiwan, will organize mountain cleaning campaigns, and workshops to teach residents and students about the nature and ecology. All these initiatives are planting the seeds of environmental protection in the hearts and minds of residents and students so that they know how to protect the environment and respect the nature. |

Every weekend and holiday, there will be families that get together on Xianjin Rock to climb, hike, exercise and chill out. This is a way to solidify the bonds among family. Some young couples also come here to enjoy the greenness as the backdrop for their romantic affairs. Some grandmothers and grandfathers come to the pavilions on the mountains, to make tea and conversations. Some of them even play mahjong. I would not have believed it, if I had not seen it with my own eyes! |

Many temples were established by locals. A large number of religious people frequent the temples on Xianji Rock to worship and pray. They find the spiritual peace and inner calmness here. |

The top of Xianji Rock demands a great view, to Guanyin Mountain and Datan Mountain Range in the north and Er-ge Mountain to the south. The bridges that link the two sides of the Sindian River, such as XiuLang Bridge, FuHe Bridge and YuanFu Bridge, can also been seen. From the top of Xianji Rock, we can also see the architectures of Jinmei District and the homes of our classmates and neighbors. What surprises us the most is that we can clearly see the lovely campus of Ching Shin Junior High School . Xianji Rock can be called, ˇ§the backyard mountain of the adjacent schoolsˇ¨. |
