II.Siraya Bamboo Ensemble

1. How they get started

The ensemble was organized for the show "The Other Window of Pepo" in 1998, just about one year before the establishment of the association. Over the years, the ensemble has been popular among the art world, frequently being invited to perform. By these performance, the Siraya was better known to the public. The ensemble has played an important role in the association.

2.The Bamboo ensemble and its Members

The members of the Bamboo ensemble include a group of young churchgoers and several instructors, aged from four to over sixty. It features instruments made of materials from mountainous areas by their own hands, which creates natural melody. The music they play includes traditional Siraya songs, and other creative melody, showing aborigine's passion and specialty in music.
