Tim: The greatest wasters in the house are
appliances, taking up more than half of the emissions. Squids. Using
the air conditioners less, turning off unused computers, and keeping
the fridge door closed are all ways to save energy. As long as we
can do this we can lower the pollution on this lovely planet. I hope
that this lowering project will let more people understand the
threat of carbon dioxide, and we can save resources to protect this
beautiful planet.
Jacky: I can't believe I produce 170 kg of carbon
dioxide. I usually don't turn off the lights, and my computer is
hardly ever off. This wastes a lot of electricity, so I need to
change this habit. I should take the stairs more, to save
electricity, and exercise. Though I produce a lot of carbon dioxide,
I'll work hard to lower the amount, and finish my responsibility.
Jack: In these recent years, greenhouse gases
continuously raise the temperature. To lower the effects of
greenhouse gases, we should start from home appliances, because they
take up 80% of the emission. When I leave home, I'm usually too lazy
to turn off the computer, wasting a lot of energy. I believe that as
long as everybody tries their best, we can work together for the
purpose of lowering the greenhouse effect. Let's work together!
Andy: Looks like I should learn from the author
of chapter 2 and make a list, to check if I've done the things I
should. I also need to learn were the switch is for the computer, so
I can save energy. After seeing the other prescriptions, I have a
way to show my brother how to save energy, and I can remind myself.
Sunny: The Earth is sick now, and carbon dioxide
is increasing, so now we should do what we can. First we should stop
relying on scooters and buses, and walk more. Our home appliances
waste a lot of electricity, so I hope that we can lower the amount
used in the future. We're doing this to help heal the Earth. Let's
all become doctors for a planet that's sick.
Amy: I can't believe that with all the people
in our family, we actually have such a low amount of carbon dioxide
emission. We need to keep it going, and continue loving our
environment. In the summer, we have good ways to save energy and not
destroy the environment, like opening the window and fans, to lower
the usage of air conditioning. Also, my dad says we should use it
only if the temperature is over 30 degrees.

Ann: Wow! I'm a huge squid. We only have 2
people in our house, but we produce 3 times more carbon dioxide than
a 4 person household! I need to think about it, because I can help
lower the emission too! I can take the elevator less, use the AC
less, and open the fridge less. If we can all have small
improvements, working together, we can help save the earth. If we
look after the environment, we can revive the planet!
