As the capital of Taiwan, Taipei ranks ahead of other counties and cities in economy, traffic and education. However, we can find the footprints of history everywhere in this prosperous metropolis. The ancient city walls and relics are the cultural heritage of the great Taipei area, and the stores and firms give off sweet flavors. Dahesong Salico, founded 50 years ago on Boai Road, Taipei City, still emits the sweet flavor that has always been kept in the mind of Taipei people. This flavor even warms the Taiwanese residing in China, Canada, America and other regions. Dahesong Salico is not only the memory of Taipei people, but also indicates Taiwanese・s love of their hometown. |

| Abstract of our theme research plan |
| The meet of milk, malt and earthnut is so good! Taipei people are so lucky that they have enjoyed the sweetness of nougat for 50 years since Mrs. Ciou-Peng Yu-He introduced it into Taiwan. Mr. Ciou Yi-Rong, who never forgets where happiness comes from, merged Dahesong Nougat and Salico Wedding Cake into one firm. With Taiwanese's operation idea of going ahead steadily, Dahesong Salico take a seat in the food industry of Taiwan and even becomes famous in the world. The purpose of our theme research plan is, through literature review, field investigation, interview, on-the-spot experiencing and questionnaire investigation, to share what we find, feel and experience. We expect that the hardship-enduring and ever-persisting spirit as well as the traditional virtue of respecting elders and never forgetting the origin of happiness of Taiwanese will be passed on over Internet, so as to make all people know the truth, goodness and beauty of Taiwan. |

| Our Internet environment |

Our school has enough computer information equipment. At present, we have a computer classroom and a multimedia workroom with brand-new equipment, and each class has computers, completely satisfying the teachers and students・ requirements for using computers. The computers in our school are connected to Taipei Education Network Center through optical fiber, and we have complete multimedia hardware and software, such as digital camera, DV, scanner, audio recorder, and video/sound effect processing software. Some of our home computers are connected to Internet via 56K modem or broadband ADSL. We also use the FTP provided by our school to do data backup and collation. |

| The problems we encountered and overcame |
| The research lasted for a period from November last year (2006) to the end of February this year, and we have held interview, questionnaire investigation and experiencing activities for many times. They cost a long time and each of them, from the design of interview plan and questionnaire, to the implementation of interview and investigation,?? was a new challenge to us. Especially, after we experienced the different jobs in the enterprise personally and had our feet get anesthesia after standing for a whole day, we got know how it is difficult to run an enterprise successfully. The collection, statistics and analysis of questionnaire investigation results was the biggest problem we encountered. Fortunately, with the guidance from our teachers, we have made the questionnaires we collected with efforts into meaningful documents. |

| What we have learned |
|
Through participating in the theme research on ：Sweet Flavor-Dahesong Salico；, we have found that a successful enterprise operator needs deep insight and forward-looking thoughts, and what・s more important, he must keep filial piety in mind but not forget where happiness come from. An enterprise will stand long if operated with goodwill. In addition, ：treating others as family； is an idea that Dahesong Salico always persists in. therefore, its products are not only delicious, but also healthy. This moved us deeply in each visit or interview, and we felt the energy, passion, harmony and centripetal force of the enterprise. Their attitude of sharing with others also makes us feel the sweet happiness. |
