Story about slabstone house

...It is said that our ancestors built and lived in slabstone since a long time ago, but there was a drawback – letting rain coming through. They used all sorts of materials but still could not sort this problem out until one day; the holy cottonmouth appeared and told them to arrange their roof like its scales. They were puzzled, suddenly, the holy cottonmouth expended, its bright scales showed well laid out bottom-up style. They understood and followed instructions from the cottonmouth. From eaves up to the peak of the roof they laid the slabstone, the larger ones at the lower end, and smaller one at the top of the roof. From then on, they never worried again about rain. The technique was handed down, but few people know about the story of how we learnt this technique from the holy cottonmouth.
