Houbi
Town is situated in Chia-Nan plain. The temperature is
temperate, the soil is fertile, and there is no industrial
pollution. In addition, under the water irrigation control of
Chia-Nan River system, rice produced is high in quality.
However, due to the lack of marketing and sales concepts during
early periods, over the past decades, rice produced was sold to
rice vendors who packaged and sold it as Shi-Luo Juo Sui Rice or
Taitung Chi-Shang Rice. Therefore, it enjoyed no public

 Basically,
rice milling can be divided into two stages namely: “dehusking/dehulling”
and “rice refining.”“dehusking/dehulling” refers to obtaining
brown rice by removing husk. The remaining rice husk is called
chaff； “rice refining” refers to further removing the outer
layer yellow coat of brown rice (embryo layer) to obtain milled
rice/polished rice. The coat removed is called rice bran. From
the past till now, the rice milling process had always been
carried out in this fashion. As time went by were utensils used
differed, efficiency, and results were improved. ........ |

Rice Milling Factory was established in 1956. Since 1977, it had
been Grain Bureau appointed public grain warehouse and white
rice export processing factory. It received CAS Premium Rice
Milling Factory Certification. The founder, Chen Shui-Sheng is
now over 70 years of age, but he continues to support innovation
and change. In 2004, rice production and sales zone was setup in
conjunction with the governmental policy of “A Healthy Taiwan.”
Farmers created original brand “Shang Shui Rice” and occupied
the small rice package market by resorting to high quality.

system setup. If suitable guidance is provisioned, “Dream
Beauty” rice is expected to pass all newly amended 528 test item

Topic
study is a type of topic or integrative learning. It easily
combines with different learning areas. For instance, we have
learned about simple function use and chart production in EXCEL
at information class. (Tainan County Joint Program Test
questions) This time, we compared tabulated statistical data on
the government website with the rice production volume and
annual rice consumption in Taiwan per person in the various
towns and townships of Tainan County. Discussions have been made
on the significances of these tables and charts. This type of
activity could also be coordinated with “Statistics” in math
class. All in all, the course of this topic study has intangibly
