2.In turns, we spoke about Teresa Teng's life by separating it into Childhood, Adulthood and Later-life.

3.The teacher supplemented with her achievements and the action taken by the people to remember her, such as: Singing Competitions (Teacher Chiu-Chin Lai was awarded!)

4.The whole class was allocated into 6 groups, each with two members, responsible for drawing her adolescent stage, adulthood, and later-life.

Today, while speaking about Teresa Teng in class, I was super nervous! If I am already so nervous speaking in class I don't know what will happen during the next promotion.

Today the teacher wanted us to speak on stage about Teresa Teng as a child, and I was allocated to speak about this part. Our group of four was feeling really nervous, since we had to speak in front of the whole class; it felt more nerve-wrecking than speaking only to the Teng's Investigation Team!

Today we the Teng's Investigation Team introduced Teresa Teng to everyone. They did not know Teresa Teng, but after our introduction, they had become more familiar with her. Today was a most happy day for me.

Today was a fulfilling day. We drew our feeling about Teresa Teng. I hope everyone will have an even better impression about Teresa Teng.

We were speaking about Teresa Teng's life to our class, 506, and many students had known her already.

406 Practicing Story-telling

    In total, we had conducted two story-telling activities in class The first was telling the story from pictures, where we had to use the drawing from the seniors in 506 to tell stories about Teresa Teng. But there were no words on the pictures and we all stuttered, and Teacher Lai had to help with the Mayority of the story, which made us feel embarrassed. However, at the second story-telling, the picture-book was completed and we had already followed the teacher to tell stories to other classes, so it went smoother and made us feel very achieved and happy!

506 Practicing Story-telling

    When we first went on stage to practicing story-telling, though we were already familiar with the story content, but it was the first time we had faced the whole class so we were still very shy, and spoke softly. We also could not boldly show our picture book to everyone, and the students and teachers had offered us some suggestions for improvement.

    Then Teacher Chiu-chin Lai played many of Teresa Teng's popular songs, which we sang along to had even swung our hands; everyone was happily singing. Teresa Teng's voice is very pleasant to the ear, and her emotional songs are also very moving, while her fast songs made people feel delighted. Each song was so beautiful and good to hear.

    Today the teacher came to our class to find the members of the Teng's Investigation Team to tell Teresa Teng's story. I was actually the first to be picked and in shock I went on stage, but although I was really nervous I could still tell the story, until it was the next person's turn, at half-way through the story, and I was really happy! I will continue to work hard!

Morning Meeting Promotion to the Teacher

1.We gathered in the main office at 07:50 .

2.We prepared the posters and pictures and waited for the teacher to arrange our formation, and we made one rehearsal.

3.  We entered the main office to meet our first challenge.

4.We told the teachers of the whole school our plan.

Today we went to the teacher's morning meeting to advocate the report of our Teresa Teng Research. Every teacher was looking at us, which made us really nervous! But in the end I still gathered up my courage and faced it. I felt so relieved when this promotion activity was over.

    This morning we reported early at the main office, but still I had not yet completed memorizing what I was going to say, but I was not afraid because I was used to it, so even though I did not fully memorize my speech I still was able to read it! I felt a little satisfied with my performance.

Morning Meeting Promotion to the Students

2. We went on stage to explain our plan and the key-point of our promotion.

3.  The supervisor added to our plan of a petition, and urged everyone to participate.

4. We carried our posters and went around for promotion.

    Today we carried our posters and Teresa Teng's drawing and promoted the Teresa Teng Week to all the students at the morning assembly. We told everyone our desire to preserve Teresa Teng's former residence, and asked that every teacher and student support us by signing our petition at our stand. I was really nervous on stage, and I hope there will be many people signing our petition.

Story-telling tour First Stop: Class 405
1. Team: Lin-hua, Ai-ting , Pei -chen, Jing-wei, Chi-hsiung, Yi-wen & Chi-hua.

2. Process:

(1) With the picture book we told the story, with Lin-hua and Ai-ting as the main speakers, while the rest provided support.

(2) Pei-chen, Chi-hsiung, Yi-wen and Chi-hua were responsible for the Q&A session, where we asked questions from the picture book and gave a mystery gift to those who answered correctly.

(3) We asked the students to visit our stand.

 

After the story-telling, we conducted the Q&A, which obtained eager responses.

 

Second Stop: Class 207

1. Team: Lin-hua, Ai-ting , Pei -chen, Jing-wei, Wei-li & Hao-che

2. Process:

(1) Lin-hua and Ai-ting were the main speakers, and when Lin-hua began adding to Ai-ting after each page, the effect was even better.

(2) Pei-chen, Jing-wei, Wei-li and Hao-che were responsible for the Q&A session, where we asked questions from the picture book and gave a mystery gift to those who answered correctly.

(3) We asked the students to visit our stand.

 

Ai-ting was responsible for telling the story, while Lin-hua added to it, and the rest had conducted the Q&A.

 

Third Stop: Class 304

1. Team: Lin-hua, Ai-ting, Pei-chen, Wei-li, Hao-che, Bo-hui, Pei-an & Shi-hsiang

2. Process:

(1) Lin-hua and Ai-ting were the main speakers, and using the hand-puppet, A-Ji, for middle classes a better result was achieved.

(2) Pei-chen, Wei-li, Hao-che, Bo-hui and Pei -an were responsible for the Q&A session, where we asked questions from the picture-book and gave a mystery gift to those who answered correctly.

(3) We asked the students to visit our stand.

    Today we went to different classes to tell stories. I was very happy and I also discovered that I have become braver, since I don't fidget anymore. When we told the story, the ˇ§comical twoˇ¨ from our class made everyone laugh and really livened up the atmosphere. Today we also set up our stand at the notice-board next to the sport's equipment room, and asked many people to sign; our petition scroll should have over a thousand signatures now, which made me really happy because I thought our efforts had not been wasted! I hope that we will advertise Teresa Teng to the whole world! I hope I can make this dream come true! Come on!

Fourth Stop: Class 613

1. Team: Lin-hua, Ai-ting , Pei -chen, Wei-li, Hao-che, Bo-hui & Pei-an

2. Process:

(1) Lin-hua and Ai-ting were the main speakers and the hand-puppet A-ji was included to tell the story.

(2) Pei-chen, Wei-li, Hao-che, Bo-hui & Pei-an were responsible for the Q&A session, where we asked questions from the picture-book and gave a mystery gift to those who answered correctly.

(3) We asked the students to visit our stand.

(4) We played Teresa Teng's song, ˇ§Comebackˇ¨, and Shi-hsiung and Yu-sheng livened up the mood by joining in to dance.

    This week we told Teresa Teng's story to the whole school, and after the story-telling we conducted a Q&A. I had asked the question: ˇ§Which elementary school did Teresa Teng go to?ˇ¨ Is it too easy? When we were telling the other students the story, every member of the Teng's Investigation Team was really nervous.

 

We told the story to our seniors in grade 6, and we were truly nervous.

    We were hosting a Teresa Teng Week close to winter break, and as a result, the teacher and we had thought of using homework during winter break to improve everyone's understanding of Teresa Teng, so that after our Story-telling Tour activity we can also gain something from the school's students. Therefore, we incorporate the story of Teresa Teng's life into their homework for the winter break, so that everyone could learn more about the Teresa Teng's hardship during the process, and by drawing pictures, they would also illustrate how they perceived Teresa Teng.

To all the students:
    Do you remember the ˇ§Teresa Teng Weekˇ¨ held at the end of the semester? This popular singer in the 1980's, whose popularity reached all the Chinese areas in the world, is a past graduate of our Lujhou Elementary School ! She had learnt hard to know the local language, including Japanese and Cantonese, when she traveled to different places to perform, and her efforts and hard-working attitude are what you should learn. Now let us commemorate this everlasting superstar by drawing a picture!
