Huayu Lighthouse was built on the hilltop of Huayu in Penghu archipelago in 1939. The lighthouse was equipped with the fourth-class acetylene flashing lamp, which flashed white light once every five seconds with 1,600 candlepower light. |
The lighthouse stopped service because of lacking in acetylene during the World War II, and restarted to illuminate after the Recovery of Taiwan. |
