Dongjyu Island Lighthouse, located in the northeast of Dongjyu Island, was built in 1872. The lighthouse was renovated twice in 1913 and 1928 respectively. This tubular granite (stone) building was equipped with the oil lamp with the second-class rotated lens. The lighthouse shone three white flashes every twenty seconds with 29,000 candlepower light. The lighthouse stopped service now. |
