Introduction to Great Valley
Great Valley is located within Laiyi Township of Pingtung County. On the way to Laiyi Great Valley, you will pass Chaochou via provincial highway 88, and then enter into Gulou Village, Danlin Village and Laiyi Village of indigenous people. Along this way, you will also find a water-collecting canal built up by鳥居信平, then a discarded check post and Yilin Village. This path is distributed with gunthers and ceramic pots, and separated into two sections, one extended to Dahou, the other to the Great Valley. It generally takes 40~50m from Laiyi Village to this Valley.

Introduction to Laiyi Great Valley
Laiyi Great Valley is a tranquil place, where you may feel the beautiful nature and enjoy a comfortable and balanced environment. In addition, the slight twitter and ripple form a concert of the nature.

At the entrance to Laiyi Great Valley, there erects a monument marking with a famous phrase of “Inscription for a Simple Room”, Liu Yuxi: [A mountain doesn't have to be high for an immortal, and a river doesn’t have to be deep for a dragon”. This phrase implies the magnificent scenery of Laiyi Great Valley.

Along this way, there is also a natural swimming pool in the valley. In the summer time, many people together with their families enjoy themselves in such an earthly paradise.

With a depth of 100m, Laiyi Great Valley is full of marvelous stone and steep cliff. In the summer time, some waterfalls are hung all over Great Valley with sufficient precipitation. On the way to Laiyi Great Valley, a 2-m barn of Paiwan Tribe will come into your eyes.
