Mountain and River ─O1 Sizihwan Station

       The Sizihwan locates in the west of Kaohsiung City. The Shou San is at the north. Chihou Island is across the river. The seashore park on the island offers swimming, walking paths, a greenbelt and an ecological area. A large number of seafood restaurants near the beach have made this a major dining as well as tourist spot.

Glorious Spot─O2 Yanchengpu Station

       This area was originally a place for saltwork. Now it became a new urban district. The roads were widened and reconstructed to give the citizen a grand plaza. There is a fountain in the center of the plaza. The people can enjoy the dancing water in the tropical weather, and the dance is arranged according to the timetable.
        The Citiznes’ Plaza connects to the Renai Park and Love River Path, making the area a giant site for activities and events. Besides the underground shopping area, the old city government building has been redesigned. The old building was once an important administration center. The Emperor Style building made in Japanese Governance Period was kept after the city government moving to another place. It is now the Kaohsiung History Museum showing historical records of the city. The space along the museum is arranged to hold commercial events or music festivals.
       The other three buildings were finished in 2001. They are also very important landmarks. The old and the new architectures make the area special. The citizens could choose to view the past and to visit the latest information shows, or to listen to a great music feast. These are all found in Yanchengpu.
In fact, the Citizens’ Plaza, the three buildings (Museum, Music Hall, and Commerce Center)      , Renai Park, and the path along Love River form a giant site with multi-functions. After KMRT is built, the public can walk from Dayong Road to shopping malls and took KMRT at the 02 station and head to different places in Kaohsiung. If people leave Love River path and want to go Yanchen downtown, they can take the KMRT

Prosperous Area ─O5/R10 Formosa Boulevard (Meilidao) Station

        Nighmarket-Lioho is in this area. When the nights come, all the food stands could be found along the street 350 meter long. You can find steak, hotpot,  seafood, folk delicacies, ice cream, etc. It is a busy yet fun place.

Culture ─O7 Cultural Center Station

        Here we find famous department store- Datong Department. It is said that the department store had invited Japanese Marketing expert to investigate consumer behavior in this area. The result showed that the public is still fond of traditional department store.  Therefore, Datong Hoping store kept the original feature to allure its customers. If you come here, you could see the tradition scene of a department store.

Modern Kaohsiung─R9 Central Park Station

        Wufu Road is between Jhongshan Road and Jhonghwa Road. It has turned into the main scenic spot for tourists for its Urban Spotlight. It was dark before and now bright and busy. The capacious space, colorful lightening, music and café has let people reluctant to part from it no matter in daytime or night time.

Intersection and Interchange ─R11Kaohsiung Main Station

        The Construction Bureau of the City Government postponed the moving of the old Emperor Style building and changed it into Kaohsiung Vision Hall. It kept the original space to record the history. It shows the past and the future of the city. The Vision Hall is in the main building, outdoor plaza, KMRT Construction Experience Museum and Railway Culture Footway are built around the area. These all let the public to keep the good memory of the Railway Station. While the old station is moving, the temporary station is simple and modern. There is a 250 meter overpass between the front and rear station.

Lion on the Sear─R17World Game Station

       The Lotus Pond, Confucius Temple, and old town of Tsoying are all the west south side of the mountain. The beautiful sceneries can be found in the postcards. The Lotus Pond is a oval shape lake. There is lotus on the pond. In the lake, we see the shadow of the Banping Mountain and willow trees. There is a Wuli Pavilion and Spring-Autumn Pavilion and Statue of the God on the pond. Along the pond, there are historical spots and old houses including Confucious Temple, Ciming Temple, Cihjing Temple. There is a Dragon-Tiger Tower 700 meter away the Spring-Autumn Pavilion.
