| How did you step into this job？ |
- I am from Miaoli. I learned the recruiting news of the Taoyuan Oil Refinery through the newspaper in1976. Then I joined and passed the exam.

- The interval of the extensive fire drill is six months. There are also routine drills in ordinary days.

- They arethe fire brigade of CKS International Airport and fire brigade of air force airport in Taoyuan.

| Were there any serious fires or accidents before ？ |
- Yes. The forest fires were the major accidents in early days. Now, the factory accidents are the major ones.

| There are a lot of water pipes in the refinery. What does the different colors of the pipes mean ？ |
- The yellow color means foams, the red color means water for the fire control, and the other colors means crude oil or liquefied petroleum gas.

| What are emergency measures for fire accidents ？ |
- We have seven books of criterion of management, and one of them is about emergency measures.

| What is the organization of fire control in the refinery？ |
- We have 24 members in all.

| How many different kinds of vehicles do you have ？ |
- We have foam engines, foam supply engines, lighting engines, hook and ladders, command engines, etc.

| Do you have any training？ |
- Yes, we originally practiced every week. Now, each group practices every year.

| What do you do on weekdays？ |
- We do the maintenance work. The most important thing is the 119 radio station. We must keep up with each factory.

| What are the books for the training ？ |
- There are the so-called SOP standard working routine books.

| Which licenses are needed to possess to work here ？ |
- You need to possess the elementary medical license (RCP), and had better have driver licenses for trucks. If not, we will send those workers to take the exam periodically.

| Do you think working in the refinery is very dangerous ？ |
- Certainly, the danger is unavoidable. So, safety is the first priority for me.

- I like this job very much. I plan to retire at 60 years old.
