To look into the reasons why the Martyrs' Shrine attracts tourists, Dazhi Teens designed a simple questionnaire according to tourists' gender, age, occupation, living area, to know about their knowledge and impression of the Martyrs' Shrine. Tourists can choose the Chinese version, English version or Japanese version of the questionnaire. There are 39 tourists choosing the Chinese version, 33 tourists choosing the English version, and 135 tourists choosing the Japanese version. The result indicates that most tourists would spend half an hour at Martyrs' Shrine. Only half of Japanese tourists who took the survey were willing to stay for at least one hour. As a matter of fact, if tourists are willing to spend time exploring the unique palace-style architecture or listen to introductions about martyr's heroic deeds, it will take them at least two hours. However, most travel agencies tend to list Martyrs' Shrine simply as a temporary stop for a break. They make tourists come here just for the guard mounting performance. To us, such arrangement is really a pity for the tourists coming from faraway places. No wonder in the previous question, some survey candidates expressed their willingness to visit Martyrs' Shrine again, which shows that they hadn't explored enough of Martyrs' Shrine. We looked into the reason why travel agencies make tour schedules like this. It could be due to lack of large-scale parking lots, lack of tourist center, or lack of professional tour guide designated inside the shrine. If we wish to promote Martyrs' Shrine in travel industry, we sincerely suggest that the authorities concerned pay more attention to finding a solution to these problems.
