(1) Program teaching activity plan on Creative Decrease of Greenhouse EffectActivity Theme: Reference Book Donation by graduating student
Activity Goal:
When final test of each year is concluded, the graduating students always discard a large amount of used reference books, test papers and text books, which cause serious waste of natural resources and does harm to forest resources. On the other hand, our school has promoted human-based education to teach students about cherishing, thanksgiving and resource conservation. We quite agree on theory of Boyo Foundation to donate books to students in remote areas and in poor families. Therefore, we instruct that the graduating students shall place their abandoned reference books, test papers and text books in corridor outside the office of middle school department when final test is concluded. The volunteers, mothers from Jingxin Middle School Parent Committee and students, help to package the books according to the subjects. After expense audit, the school sends them to Boyo Foundation. Finally, it is Fund which will deliver books to schools or students who need them under unified distribution. We expect that our students understand cherishing, thanksgiving, environment protection, resource conservation to deeper extent through this educational activity of love and environment protection. We also expect them to do the things in practice so as to achieve goal of all-student education. Activity Introduction:

Introduce creative temperature drop activity to study: (1) Body Building: It is good for students to achieve goals in body building such as social fitness, spiritual fitness and cultural fitness.(refer to table 1)Let students understand care and assistance for others through book donation(social fitness);learn to love and be loved(spiritual fitness);and do specific contribution to environment and society by preventing environment resource waste(cultural fitness).

These five well-being status supplement each other to have effect on life style and quality. Health and Physical Education constructs education from three aspects: Growth of Human, Interaction between Human and Human, Society and Culture, decision made by human on nature and event, so as to achieve course goal of total well-being.
Nature ,Science and Technology in Life Nature, science and technology are connected in one vein. The relation between human and natural environment must be peacefully coexisted and sustained. Therefore, we can learn how to apply and control science and technology through study to conform to modern social life and to cherish natural environment. This second-hand book donation activity can help students to learn how to cherish, conserve and use environmental resources so as to achieve sustained conservation goal in fields of nature, science and technology in life.
Society: The social study belongs to a knowledge field derived from self-reflection, interactive relation between people and people, between people and environment. Broadly speaking, the environment of people includes: natural physical environment(such as mountain, river, plain etc.);the material environment made by people(such as instruments used in finishing, hunting, nomadic grazing and farming, currencies of commerce, machinery equipment of industry, vehicle and ship of transportation etc.);the social environment made by man(organizations such as family, school, resident district, country etc. and systems such as politics, law, education etc.);self(such as reflection and expression)and super-natural spiritual environment(such as philosophy, religion, morality and arts etc.)The man can not live alone without society, therefore, the book donation activity can help students to learn how to take care of others and how to get along with others harmoniously; how to cherish the natural environment and how to live together with natural environment peacefully.
Comprehensive activity: This activity is helpful for students to learn four goals in this field: (a) practice and experience what they have learned (b) reflect personal significance(c) express study experience (d) encourage diversity and respect. Through this activity, we expect that students can develop, explore and share individual significance and respect others' experiences. At the same time, we aim to encourage students to part in the society and assure their own liabilities.

Learning Achievements of Students and Gains from Learning This reference book donation activity is the first formal effort of our school. To our surprise, it gain great support and response from all graduating students, parents, teachers that teachers of various sections donate their unnecessary reference books and teaching materials besides graduating students' donation. We are so surprised that there are so many books since the corridor of middle school department office is filled with second-hand reference books, teaching materials and textbooks even other extracurricular books. If we let alone the terrible recycling or discard treatment of these books, we would waste so many natural resources. Hence, we are so glad to hold this activity for collection and donation. On one hand we make resource conservation and on the other hand we provide those children of remote areas with books and references books. It is really a nice activity that gives consideration to both environmental protection and love!
Reasons for program success:
Solve second-hand book disposal problem for students: The graduating students will start their learning at senior middle school soon, so they always discard or recycle the books of junior middle school. The school holds this activity to help disposal of second-hand book disposal, while the only thing need to do by students is to place unnecessary books in the office corridor. It is the so-called Of Little Effort, Expressing Love and Environmental Protection.
Instruct and satisfy the consideration practice by students: The heart has always the power to exercise compassion. Most of students have theory and capability to take care of others and help them, but they are not clear how to practice it. This activity, actually, provides them with a opportunity to help others at graduating time. It is also a opportunity instruction of school with a expectation that the students can understand cherishing, thanksgiving and taking care of others when graduating.
Assistance from volunteer mothers and volunteer students: It is not a simply thing to classify and package books in large amount. We would like to express our gratitude especially to volunteer mothers and volunteer students who classify and package the books with great efforts. Their efforts and support are key factors that this book donation activity can be concluded with a round success.
